Facilities Offered
- The Central library houses more than 100 books on Statistics in accordance with CBCS syllabus.
- Faculty and students participate in seminars and co-curricular activities.
- Constant motivation and modern teaching facilities coupled with regular assessment of students have helped to improve overall performance of the students.
- E-contents are provided to the students.
- Every week average 10 classes are allotted of which 40% are for practical and rest for theoretical.
- A healthy Teacher-Student relationship is maintained.
Performance
- Average number of the students in the department is approximately 10 in each semester.
- On an average 80% students passed in each of the previous end-semester university examinations.
Departmental Activities
As a very small department, there are very limited departmental activities to show. However, we actively participate in every activities organized by intra-college departments.
Weaknesses
- Lack of departmental room as well as computer facility.
- No UG Honours course.
Future Plans
- Start UG Honours Course in near future.
- Improve departmental infrastructure by establishing a departmental laboratory with adequate computer facility.
- Besides classroom teaching, a digital teaching interface will also be in place from future academic sessions.
- Organize departmental seminars more often.
- Encourage more students in taking this subject.
