Diversity of Students :

We get students fromnot only West Bengal but also from other neighbouring states like Bihar, Orissa North Eastern region. Students also hail from different socio economic background. In our Department we try to harmonize between different cultures and economic strata imparting equality among students.

  • To avail of more research facilities like attaining grants to purchase basic research instruments like UV-vis spectrophotometer, FT-IR Spectromemeter,Spectrofluorimeter
  • A modern Computer Room with at least Four computers, Colour Printers etc. required very argent basic
  • A special Book Grant to enrich the Department Seminar Library
  • To set up smart class  room
  • Facilitating e-learning
  • To initiate industry-institute partnership to facilitate campus recruitment.
  • Initiation of (i) Honours course in Biochemistry, (ii) PG diploma course in Chemi informatics, (iii) PG diploma course in Analytical Chemistry.
  • Motivating all faculty staff to run sponsored research projectsdespite severe limitation of space.
  • Attempt to organize TEP (Teacher Exchange Programme)
